Buhari speaks to Oshiomhole telling him to rededicate his life to work for the success of those who are in need.
President Muhammadu Buhari has rejoiced with the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Adams Oshiomhole as he marked his 69th birthday.
The President of the Federal Republic advised the former Edo Governor to rededicate his life to working for the profitability of those in need.
Buhari’s message was publicized by his spokesman, Garba Shehu on Sunday the 4th of April.
He joined Oshiomhole’s family and well-wishers to thank God for a life of service to the nation, good health, and the opportunity to celebrate the special day.
The President praised Oshiomhole for constructing bridges among people of diverse backgrounds, inspiring others to be patriotic, speaking against politics of division and acrimony.
He recognized the politician’s numerous contributions to Nigeria and wished him “more years of service to build a greater Nigeria”.
Former Delta acting governor, Sam Obi, is dead
The former acting Governor of Delta State, Sam Obi died recently.
He came from Ute-Okpu in Ika North East Local Government Area.
Mr. Sam Obi died on Saturday the 3rd of April, a few days to his 60th birth anniversary, after a brief illness.
Governor Ifeanyi Okowa expressed his sadness about the sudden demise of the former governor.
Olisa Ifeajika his spokesman condoled with the people of the state, the Ika nation, and the Ute-Okpu community in a statement on Saturday.
Governor Okowa said that Obi, the ex-Speaker of the House of Assembly and acting Governor in November 2010, was a great patriot who served with the fear of God.
He brought it to everyone’s remembrance that the deceased was the founder of Oracle of God Ministries, where he preached the word of God with passion.
”He was also a council chairman and representative of the constituency in the state legislature.
The governor said, “His role and wise counseling will be greatly missed by his political family and Ika nation.”
Okowa in his concluding statement prayed to God to accept the deceased’s soul and grant strength to the family and friends he left to bear the loss.
