Police arrest a serial killer & cultist in Lagos

Police finally arrest a serial killer & cultist in Lagos who has been on the run for a while now. The criminals have been responsible for many atrocities in Ikorodu.

A serial killer was arrested by police detectives in relation to the Sagamu Road Division in an operation led by the Divisional Police Officer on Sunday, April 4th, 2021.

The serial killer, whose name is Segun Agodo,  was taken into custody at  Odongunyan Area of Ikorodu, located in Lagos  State.

This was revealed in a statement shared by the Chief Press Secretary to the Lagos State Governor, Gboyega Akosile on Twitter.

The statement explained that Segun was an old member of Eye Confraternity, and had been on the run for a long time since he became aware that he was wanted by the police for his atrocities in Ikorodu Area of Lagos State. But he was found in Ikorodu yesterday the 4th of April 2021, while the DPO Sagamu Road Division and his men were on surveillance patrol in some areas at Ikorodu.”

The Police detectives assigned to Sagamu Road Division, under the leadership of the Divisional Police Officer, Sagamu Road, Ikorodu, have arrested a wanted serial killer cultist, Segun Agodo, in the Odongunyan area of Ikoodu, Lagos State on the 4th of April, 2021.

According to Adejobi, ‘The suspect, has been involved in various murder cases, including alleged killing of a policeman, in Ikorodu. He was also arrested for the possession of two (2) locally-made revolver pistols, each loaded with seven (7) and fourteen (14) rounds of cartridges, one axe, some cutlasses and assorted charms.”

 

In other related news, police detectives attached to Alakuko Division of the command, arrested one Sola Akinwole, m, 27, on April 2nd at about 5.30am where the suspect and his gang members were robbing at a car/motorcycles shop located at AMJE Bus Stop, Alakuko Area of Lagos State.

The police officers ran to the scene as a response to a distress call from the shop. The suspected armed robbers had shot one of the guards at the shop named Tairu Baba, m, 20 before the police got to the scene of the crime.  The police was able to recover one locally-made pistol and four (4) cartridges.

Finally, The police also arrested a 43-year-old man for  sexually abusing his wife’s 15-year-old niece.
