Former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Prof Chukwuma Soludo Narrates His Attack says  ‘ it was over than 10 Minutes Of Gun Battle.’

Gunmen had opened fire on Wednesday the 31st of March, while a town hall meeting was taking place at the Isuofia community in Aguata Local Government Area of Anambra State, killing three of his security personnel.

But Soludo, who spoke on Thursday during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today where he  explained how he was attacked by the gunmen.

“ Even when it was all over, it took about 10 or 15 minutes of continuous gun battles going back and forth,  stopping, starting again,” Soludo said.

“By the time we all returned, we saw three bodies lying in the pool of their blood. They were the three policemen. May their souls rest eternally.

“Initially, I thought the policemen were shooting in the air. Until I started hearing people screaming and all and everybody just went to hide for safety.

“Just as I was about to conclude  the town hall meeting and said finally they can now  open up the floor for comments and answers, there were gunshots.”

While consoling the families of the slain officers, Soludo promised to give them his support.
