Chidinma Ojukwu explains why she withdrew money from Usifo Ataga’s bank account after killing him
After the unfortunate incident of Usifo Ataga’s death, Chidinma Ojukwu explains why she withdrew money from Usifo Ataga’s bank account after killing him.
Chidinma Ojukwu, the University of Lagos (UNILAG) student who finally admitted she killed Mr Usifo Ataga, Super TV CEO, says she also withdrew money from the deceased’s account to pay “fees” and “start up a business”.
On the 24th of June, Chidinma was publicly disgraced at the state police command for the murder of the businessman while she claimed that he forcefully had sex with her.
According a statement by Hakeem Odumosu, the state commissioner of police, the accused also withdrew N5 million from Ataga’s bank accounts after his death.
Finally, Chidinma has now revealed her reasons for withdrawing the money from the businessman’s bank accounts.
She opened on her intentions while speaking with reporters on Sunday the 27th of June, 2021.
However, the 21-year-old maintained that the murder was an accident.
“I didn’t plan on killing anybody. It was just to get money from him. I totally regret everything I did,” Chidinma said.
“After the incident happened that I withdraw the money, the purpose was to use it for my fees and start up a business.”
Furthermore, Chidinma explained to reporters that paying school fees had become difficult for her, owing to the fact that the financial hardship had been her major reason for staying away from school.
“There are lots of times that the school fees weren’t there, and it was a struggle to complete it,” she said
“The reason why I have been absent from school is because of finance, and secondly, I was just feeling reluctant to go back to school. I wanted to do online schooling so that I could join it with my business when I start up my business.”
At the moment, there is a lot of controversy regarding this news because many believe that Chidinma may have also been lying about the fact that the deceased really had sex with her forcefully.
