Bandits release new video of Kidnapped Kaduna students
Bandits release a new video of Kidnapped Kaduna students begging their parents to pay the ransom in order for them to be released.
The kidnappers who abducted the 39 students of the Federal College of Forestry Mechanisation, Afaka Kaduna, released a new video showing the remaining 29 students and other victims in their captivity.
They demanded N500 million ransom from the government for the release of the victims and also contacted the parents of the students when Governor Nasir El-Rufai’s administration insisted that it was not going to negotiate or pay any ransom.
Though no particular amount was demanded as ransom, the abductees, in the 4 minutes, 55 seconds video that was released begged their parents to pay so they can be freed.
A pregnant woman, who happens to be a student and part of the victims was identified as “Hajiya,” by the bandits. Hajiya in the video, pleaded with their parents to rescue them because of what they were passing through.
She also stated that they had been without food for the past 47 days with the bandits.
In her own words, “We are appealing to our parents to help us. We are tired and there is no food.
“They should try their best to get us out of this place. We have spent 47 days, almost all of us are sick and there is no food. We sleep out in the open even when it rains.”
Another woman kidnapped by the bandits, who is said to be a wife of a Naval Officer was also featured in the video.
The woman explained that she was kidnapped from Agwa in Chikun Local Government Area, stating that her husband is a military officer based in Warri, Delta state.
She begged the Federal Government to come for their rescue, saying the bandits had initially agreed on N30 million ransom for their release.
However, it was not clear if she was referring to the remaining 29 Afaka students or others she was kidnapped with 11 days ago when she said mentioned that the bandits had agreed on N30million for their release.
