SEDI MD Simon Ndubuisi, Aide In Enugu has been killed by gunmen on Wednesday the 7th of July 2021. The incident occurred at the Enugu/ Port Harcourt expressway.
According to reports, gunmen have murdered the Managing Director, Scientific Equipment Development Initiative (SEDI), in Enugu State, Prof. Simon Ndubuisi and his police escort.
It was gathered that the incident happened on the Enugu/Port Harcourt expressway on Wednesday afternoon.
However, a statement by the Police PRO Daniel Ndukwe, noted that the information surrounding the incident is still sketchy, but nevertheless, preliminary investigation has commenced.
“Information surrounding a shooting incident today, 07/07/2021 at about 1600hrs, along Enugu/Port-Harcourt Expressway, said to have led to the death of a man and his Police orderly, is still sketchy.
“Meanwhile, preliminary investigation has commenced. Further development will be duly communicated, please,” Ndukwe said.
He was being driven in his official vehicle marked “SEDI 26D 02FG”.
In addition, his police orderly was also killed by the gunmen. It is still uncertain what the fate of the driver has come to as of the time of filing this report.
Currently, horrible images and video of the gruesome murder are in circulation.
When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, in Enugu State, ASP Daniel Ndukwe confirmed the incident.
However, the Police in Enugu State are yet to confirm the incident as of the time of filing this report.
Scientific Equipment Development Institute (SEDI), Enugu is an institute under the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). It is located at Akwuke, Enugu South Local Government Area.
