Buhari mourns the death of his official driver, Afaka
Buhari mourns the death of his official driver, Afaka after he passed on at the State House Clinic on Tuesday the 6th of April, 2021 from the prolonged illness.
According to the president, late Afaka was very dedicated in his duties and ensured that he performed excellent service without any form of the entitlement mentality.
The president remembered that sometime in 2016, Afaka, while on pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia, picked up a bag that contained a large number of foreign currencies and made sure he turned it over to the National Hajj Commission.
He made it clear that this action earned Afaka praises from the Saudi and Nigerian authorities. Because, not many people will do such, but Afaka was never a greedy person. He lived a life of so much contentment and was always happy about the success of others.
Buhari prayed almighty Allah to ‘‘bless the soul of the departed with an elevated place in heavens,’’ committing the family and friends to divine comfort, strength, and patience.
President Muhammadu Buhari made it clear that the late Afakas family will have his full support throughout this time and beyond. He encouraged the family members and anyone who knew Afaka to continue holding the integrity that he did.
According to the president, Afaka should be remembered as someone who gave his all for the joy of others.
