Baba Dee Speaks On Sound Sultan’s Throat Cancer Illness

Baba Dee speaks on Sound Sultan’s throat cancer illness to clear the air regarding the news of his younger brother’s sudden illness.

The popular Nigerian singer, Baba Dee has debunked claims that his younger brother Sound Sultan is battling throat cancer.

According to multiple media reports on Wednesday, the 12th of May, the 44-year-old Olanrewaju Fasasi was said to have been reportedly diagnosed with throat cancer and is presently undergoing chemotherapy in the United States.

However, a phone call was placed to Baba Dee who expressed his shock at the news making headlines on social media. He confirmed that though the ‘Jagbajantis’ singer is ill, he does not have throat cancer as reports claim.

Baba Dee said: “He is sick and he is getting better in New York. But throat cancer. Na lie,” the man born Dare Fasasi wrote in the message.

Though he confirmed his brother was not diagnosed with throat cancer, he did not disclose the illness the younger brother is suffering from.

It would be recalled that various social media outlets regulated the news that Nigerian singer, Olanrewaju Fasasi, professionally known as Sound Sultan, had reportedly been diagnosed and currently battling throat cancer in the United States of America.

The artist was also said to have commenced chemotherapy in one of the hospitals in the country, but his elder brother has confirmed that the news being circulated is false.

Sound Sultan is sick but does not have throat cancer as initially reported. This is a lesson to all Nigerians to always confirm the validity of a claim before circulating such information.

The popular musician is currently undergoing treatment and we hope he recovers soon. His family, friends, and fans send out their prayers and love to the Star.

We look forward to his recovery soon and we wish him to sound health of mind and body always.
