Bandits kill three kidnapped students of Greenfield University in Kaduna because the N800 million they requested as ransom, has not been paid.
The gunmen who kidnapped students of Greenfield University located in Kaduna State contacted families of the victims, demanding N800 million ransom before they can be released.
Some sources at the university stated that the bandits, who invaded the institution on Tuesday the 21st of April, murdered a member of staff and kidnapped about 23 students.
According to her, the kidnappers have been physically assaulting the victims and threatening to kill them if the ransom is not paid on time.
On Saturday the 24th of April, 2021, it was discovered that the armed bandits who abducted some students of Greenfield University have shot dead three of the abductees.
It would be recalled that the armed bandits on Tuesday night kidnapped a number of students at the institution that is situated at Kasarami village off Kaduna-Abuja Road in Chikun LGA.
The commissioner said the lifeless bodies of three students were discovered on Friday the 23rd of April, 2021, in Kwanan Bature village, a location close to the university, and have been moved to a mortuary by the Commissioner, Internal Security, and Home Affairs, and Force Commander, Operation Thunder Strike, Lt. Col. MH Abdullahi.
According to the state commissioner, Governor Nasir El-Rufai has spoken against the killing of three students and tagged it as pure wickedness, inhumanity, and an outright desecration of human lives by a bunch of hoodlums. He went on to say that these bandits represent the worst of humankind and must be brought to justice at all cost for the violence and wickedness they represent.
The Governor further stated that “Evil would not triumph over God-given humanity. He appealed to citizens to work together and fight against the forces of darkness challenging national security and the very existence of the Nigerian State.”
In addition, the Governor, on behalf of the Government and the people of Kaduna State sent deep condolences and empathy to the victim’s families and the university community, as he prayed for their souls to rest in peace.
