NDLEA grants rapper CDQ bail but he is still under investigation
The NDLEA grants rapper CDQ bail but he is still under investigation for allegedly being in possession of illegal drugs.
The drug law agency stated that some substance is known as ‘loud’ a cannabis variant was discovered in the rapper’s house.
According to reports, the rapper was arrested on Wednesday, April the 14th, 2021, at his Lekki residence based on some intelligence report which the agency discovered.
In addition, the NDLEA’s Director, Media, and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, confirmed the artiste’s arrest, stating that the case was still under investigation because some substance known as ‘loud’ a cannabis variant was found in the rapper’s house located in Lekki.
“Yes, CDQ was arrested in his house at Lekki for being in possession of cannabis. He was arrested based on information forwarded to the agency via investigation. As of last night, he was granted administrative bail, but he is expected back into custody today because the investigation is still ongoing.”
“Some substances were discovered and he mentioned some names of some other popular artists. So, the investigation is still in progress. The result of the investigation would determine what action to take.”
According to the agency, there are some cases where the investigation shows some sufficient violations, and then the case will be taken to court. There are other cases whereby if the quantity is not sufficient, he will be brought in for counselling and possible rehabilitation. Those are likely scenarios that may happen once the outcome of the investigation is revealed .”
On Wednesday night, the 14th of April, the rapper went to his Instagram page where he gave a hint about his current predicament with the law enforcement agency.
He said, “No sleep for the wicked 👽 iyalaya yin o ni sun for dis Lagos… They tryna set me up today but Olohun wa 🙏.”
