Since the deceased, who left her home on Sunday, January 17, 2021, refused to come home, with her partner as the main suspect, the police began an investigation into the matter.
In Oghara, Delta State, a commercial motorcyclist known as Mr. Happyman was detained for the murder of his mother, Orie Evusi, who was reported missing four days earlier.
According to OgharaVoice, a local state tabloid, Evusi was allegedly killed by Happyman for texting another man.

A few days later, Happyman was confirmed to have been found threatening to end his own life by drinking a toxic liquid. His neighbors, who saw him trying to kill himself, hurried him to the hospital.
After he regained consciousness during his questioning, Happyman said he killed his girlfriend because she was messaging some guy on her cell.
The motorcyclist also carried police officers to Unoghovo bush, where his dead body was deposited.
Recently, there have been several reported cases of passion crime around the country.
For example, on December 7, 2020, it was reported that a lady known as Ashi doused his boyfriend’s apartment, Jude Atoza, with a barrel of petrol in Benue and set it ablaze.
It was discovered that Atoza and Ashi had been living together for three years, but the former was forced by recent rifts to ask the latter to leave his home.
Ashi, who left without arguing, reportedly returned with a few men and a barrel of petrol, which had been used to fire the house, to the flat.
The event with the fire left Atoza severely burned.
Earlier, 40-year-old Nicodemus Nomyange reportedly burned himself and his mother, Pam Shininenge, to death in Benue on November 16, 2020, following the reluctance of the latter to marry him.
It was discovered that she had been asked to marry him by Nomyenge, who was married to children but had an extramarital affair with Pam, but she refused.
Nomyange called Pam to his house on that fateful day, closed the door and set the house ablaze.
