A 20-year-old man, Abubakar Amodu, has been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force for masterminding his father’s abduction.
Amodu was one of the 25 offenders paraded in Abuja on Wednesday by the Force Public Relations Officer, Frank Mba, for multiple offenses.

He allegedly connived with three others in order to commit the crime.
Amodu said he had been tricked into the act by gang members who had convinced him that his father was wealthy and was meant to be abducted for money.
He admitted to arranging to carry out the kidnapping with the gang.
The suspect added that after the family paid the N2m ransom and got N200, 000 as his part, his father was freed.
Abubakar Liyu, a security guard at the University of Ahmadu Bello, Zaria, who collaborated with kidnappers to snatch lecturers and terrorize the university population, was also paraded.
Liyu, who admitted to the murder, said he had arranged for three lecturers to be abducted.
He said the first two times he got N30, 000, but he got nothing for the third one.
