El-Rufai and others mock Omokri over protest against Buhari in London
El-Rufai and others mock Omokri over the protest against Buhari in London; says the protest was highly uncalled for and is a waste of one’s time and resources.
Nasir El-Rufai, the Governor of Kaduna State, has mocked Reno Omokri, a former presidential assistant to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, regarding the protest he organized against President Muhammadu Buhari in London on Friday the 2nd of April.
Buhari on Tuesday flew out to London where he is expected to spend a minimum of two weeks carrying out his routine medical checkups.
However, Nigerians living in the UK, who are not in support of the President’s medical visit, stormed the Abuja House in London, demanding that he is sent back to Nigeria.
Omokri, a former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, who shared a video on Twitter, showed the protesters at the Abuja house grounds making the demand.
Omokri described the protest as a major success and claimed he was the organizer of the ‘Harass Buhari Out of London’ rally.
The former presidential aide also stated that the police could not put a stop to the protest because it was held in strict compliance with COVID19 procedures with protesters massively attending in groups of six.
But in response to Kayode Ogundamasi’s tweet where he (Kayode) also mocked Omokri writing, “Aide to former President @GEJonathan, “Pastor” @renoomokri leads “massive” protest in London against @NGRPresident @MBuhari.”
Governor El-Rufai mockingly responded to the tweet by saying, “Massive protest indeed…”
During the course of the protest, Omokri had accused Buhari of being irresponsible, saying the President left Nigeria for a medical trip on the same day resident doctors were embarking on a nationwide strike
He informed his listeners that Buhari has been in office for more than 5 years but has failed to organize, start and finish the construction of even one hospital.
In addition, Omokri also claimed that over N10 billion has so far been budgeted for the Aso Rock State House Clinic in the five years that Buhari has been President but said there was nothing to show for the money spent.
