The Yoruba socio-political organization, Afenifere, has extended its congratulations to the Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi, on the occasion of his 50th birthday.
The factional leader of the group, Pa Ayo Adebanjo, issued a statement on Friday, praising the monarch for his efforts in safeguarding the culture and traditions of the Yoruba people.

In a statement issued by Justice Faloye, the National Publicity Secretary of the Adebanjo-led faction, the monarch was characterized as a source of pride for the Yoruba race. The statement expressed hopes for a reign of the Oduduwa house that is marked by peace, equity, and progress.
In a similar vein, Olalekan Badmus, the Executive Director of Operations at the Nigeria Port Authority, praised Oba Ogunwusi for exhibiting “exemplary leadership marked by dedication, compassion, and a steadfast commitment to nurturing cultural heritage and unity.”
Badmus, in his message of congratulations to the Ooni, articulated that the monarch’s reign has been characterized by a profound vision for peace and progress.
“His endeavors in fostering cultural awareness and advancing social development have not only elevated the Ife community but have also motivated numerous individuals throughout Nigeria and beyond.”
