EFCC arrests popular Instagram comedian Pankeeroy and others for Internet fraud on Wednesday the 21st of April, 2021, in Lagos.
The comedian was taken into custody on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, in Lekki, Lagos, following a report via investigation that was received by the commission.
Pankeeroy is reported to have been involved in ‘Bitcoin scam,’ an illegal act he said he started after falling into depression.
According reports from the EFCC, the comedian posed as a vendor who redeems bitcoin vouchers using a platform to defraud his unsuspecting victims.
A Mercedes Benz car worth N36M was part of the items seized from the comedian.
Pankeeroy is a famous instagram comedian and social media influencer. He graduated from the Redeemers University located in Ede, with a degree in Computer Science
