Aisha Buhari, the first lady, returns to Nigeria after months In Dubai. She returned to the presidential villa on Wednesday the 17th of March.
President Muhammadu Buhari’s wife and first lady of Nigeria, Aisha Buhari, has returned to the country.
According to a report, Aisha, who left Nigeria for Dubai, the United Arab Emirates, about six months ago, made her way back to the Presidential Villa on Wednesday night.
We recall that the first lady had traveled out of the country anonymously after Hanan, one of her daughters with President Buhari, got married in September 2020.
She looked very refreshed and in high spirits to return to her homeland.
The president is undoubtedly pleased to have his wife and support system is back. She is sure to stand by him as he leads the nation.
We welcome our first lady back to the country, and we hope her return comes with good tidings for the nation. Because the nation needs that at the moment.
More details regarding her return to come later…
Meanwhile, the All Progressives Congress (APC) has given their support to President Muhammadu Buhari to chase after looters of public funds within and beyond his government.
The ruling party made this known in a statement in Abuja on Wednesday the 17th of March. The information was released by its National Secretary of the Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee, Sen. John Akpanudoedehe, Glover reports.
According to the statement, the Muhammadu Buhari-led Federal Government would not spare or condone looters found guilty because there is an urgent need to reduce the crime rate in the country.
All those who choose to gain access to funds illegally will not be allowed to go Scott-free. Once they are caught, they will face the law.
This decision is based on the president’s attempts at eradicating corruption in the country because it can lead to even more crime if it is not dealt with from the beginning.
We are delighted to see that party members are in support of this move. And we look forward to seeing the results of this action.
