Buhari Plans To Visit His Doctor While In Paris On Saturday
Buhari plans to visit his Doctor while In Paris on Saturday the 15th of May, 2021. He plans to visit Paris first then travel to the UK for his medical check-up.
The President plans to visit Paris, the capital of France, on Saturday. He would be in Paris for not more than four days, where he has also had a scheduled meeting with his doctor.
According to a source, “Buhari will be heading to Paris for four days. He was planning to go to Kampala (Uganda) and travel to London, the United Kingdom, to see his doctors but they opted to meet him in Paris. He will be traveling on Saturday.”
Yesterday, it was reported that Buhari planned to attend the inauguration of Uganda’s tight-fist dictator, Yoweri Museveni, and from there he will visit the UK for treatment.
But the plan was later changed and the decision to send Vice President Yemi Osinbajo to Uganda to represent Buhari was made at the last minute because the UK trip was no longer feasible.
Buhari’s health, particularly his dementia, had deteriorated recently, and he had difficulty understanding what was discussed at the security chiefs’ meetings in the last two weeks.
“Buhari had wanted to travel to go for Museveni’s inauguration in Uganda and now use the opportunity to go to London but they changed the plans last minute and sent Osinbajo,” a top source had revealed.
Osinbajo was joined by several other Heads of State and Government for the swearing-in ceremony scheduled for that took place yesterday the 12th of May, at Kololo Independence Grounds in Kampala, the nation’s capital city.
The Vice President also participated at the resumed National Security Council meeting that was headed by President at the Presidential Villa. Osibanjo also traveled later on to Lagos State where he attended another function.
It’s no news that since Buhari became the president on May 29, 2015, He has embarked on medical trips abroad at least five times, covering a period of no fewer than 170 days of the five years he had been in power.
In 2020, Buhari was still unable to limit his foreign medical trips despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the global lockdown, and the shortage of medical facilities.
Also, from the 30th of March to the 6th of April 2021, the President embarked on another trip for a routine medical check-up in London.
